Dr Mohammad Hassanzadeh is a Professor of knowledge and Information Sciences at Tarbiat Modares University, Iran. He received his PhD from Ferdowsi University, Mashhad in 2006. He was appointed to the Department of Management and Economics at Tarbiat Modares University in 2001 as an Assistant Professor. He was promoted to Full Professor in 2019. Dr Hassanzadeh has made over 250 scholarly contributions, including more than 200 peer-reviewed research papers and over 45 books (Nov, 2020) in addition to being co-investigator on numerous major research initiatives. Among his books are Knowledge Management, Concepts and Infrastructures, Popularization of Science from Theory to Practice, Information Retrieval and Knowledge Economy. He has been visiting professor at several other universities as a lecturer and has supervised over 200 Master’s and PhD dissertations. He has been appointed to varied managerial and administrative positions in Higher Education including Director of the Center for the Development of Humanities Technologies, Consultant to Business Intelligence (BI) Initiative, Head of the department for Humanity Technologies Incubator and Director of Technology Development and Transfer Office, Modares ST Park through the years. For his research efforts he was awarded the “Article of the Year” award by the Library and Information Science Society for Asia and the Pacific (LISSASPAC) in 2017. Dr. Hassanzadeh co-developed, and is the managing editor of The International Journal of Learning Spaces Studies and The International Journal of Knowledge Processing Studies. He also serves as an editor-in-chief for The International Journal of Digital Content Management and The Journal of Information Science and Techniques. Prof Hassanzadeh currently is president of the Iranian Research Institute for Information Science and Technology.

Dr. Lawrence Jones-Esan is a distinguished academic, researcher, and entrepreneur with extensive expertise in transnational education (TNE), business management, healthcare innovation, digital transformation, and educational leadership. He is the Chief Executive Officer of the London Academy Business School (LABS), a transnational education partner of the University of Sunderland, delivering UK-based academic programs in developing economies.

He is a Senior Lecturer and Programme Director at York St John University, London Campus, leading the MSc Global Healthcare Management program. He also serves as an External Examiner for four UK universities and is a Visiting Professor at Tbilisi University, Georgia.

Dr. Jones-Esan has extensive policy and industry experience, including working with the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) in banking supervision, monetary policy implementation, and the training of over 320 resident examiners—making Nigeria the third country outside the USA with such a structured system.

Hamid R. Arabnia received a Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from the University of Kent (Canterbury, England) in 1987. He is currently a Professor of Computer Science at University of Georgia (Georgia, USA), where he has been since October 1987. His research interests include parallel and distributed processing techniques and algorithms, supercomputing, Big Data Analytics (in the context of scalable HPC), imaging science (image processing, computer vision, and computer graphics), and other compute intensive problems. Methodologies that promote cross-disciplinary education are also of great interest. Applications of interest include: health informatics, medical imaging, and security. Most recent activities include: Studying ways to promote legislation that would prevent cyber-stalking, cyber-harassment, and cyber-bullying. As a victim of cyber-harassment and cyber-bullying, in 2017 he won a lawsuit with damages awarded to him for a total of $2.3 Million. Since this court case was one of the few cases of its kind in the United States, this ruling is considered to be important; Final Judgement for damages was issued in Leon County Courthouse of Tallahassee in Florida by Circuit Court Judge.

Prof. Arabnia is Editor-in-Chief of The Journal of Supercomputing (one of the oldest journals in Computer Science) published by Springer. He is also on the editorial and advisory boards of 40 other journals. He is the book series editor-in-chief of "Transactions of Computational Science and Computational Intelligence" (Springer) and editor-in-chief of the book series entitled "Emerging Trends in Computer Science and Applied Computing" (Elsevier). Dr. Arabnia has received a number of awards; including: "Outstanding Achievement Award in Recognition of His Leadership and Outstanding Research Contributions to the Field of Supercomputing" 2007 (the award was presented to him at Harvard University Medical School - signatories: Lawrence O. Hall, President of IEEE/SMC); "Distinguished Leadership and Visionary Award (presented by FTRA - Future Technology Research Association), presented by Steering Committee of CSA-13 International Conference; "Distinguished Research Award" for Outstanding Contributions to Adaptable Communication Systems, presented by ACM SIGAPP IMCOM Co-Chairs, 2014. Dr. Arabnia is Fellow and Advisor of Center of Excellence in Terrorism, Resilience, Intelligence and Organized Crime Research (CENTRIC); Academy Member, University of Georgia Teaching Academy (Program initiated by Carnegie Foundation), inducted on November 2, 2015.

Prof. Arabnia has published extensively in journals and refereed conference proceedings. He has about 200 peer-reviewed research publications as well as 250 edited research books in his areas of expertise. He has been a PI/Co-PI on about $8 Million externally funded projects/initiatives and on about $200,000 internally funded projects. He has also contributed projects for justification for equipment purchase (grant proposals worth over $4 Million - awarded). During his tenure as Graduate Coordinator/Director of Computer Science (2002-2009), Dr. Arabnia secured the largest level of funding in the history of the department for supporting the research and education of graduate students (PhD, MS).

Dr. Arabnia has delivered a number of keynote and plenary lectures at international conferences; most recently at: The 14th IEEE International Conference on Parallel and Distributed Systems (ICPADS'08, Australia); International Conference on Future Generation Communication and Networking (FGCN 2008 / IEEE CS, Sanya); The 10th IEEE International Conference on High Performance Computing and Communications (HPCC-08, Dalian); and 2014 ACM IMCOM International Conference. He has also delivered a number of "distinguished lectures" at various universities and research units/centers (USA, Spain, South Korea, Japan, Iran, Saudi Arabia, UK, Canada, Turkey, China, Ireland, Australia, ...); his distinguished lectures were funded and sponsored by US Department of Defense, SERSC of Republic of Korea, US National Science Foundation, and others.

According to Prof. Arabnia, his main source of inspiration has always been his family, including: his late parents, his daughter, his two sons, his wife, and his four brothers.

Prof. Babak Akhgar is a Professor of Informatics and Director of CENTRIC at Sheffield Hallam University and a Fellow of the British Computer Society. He graduated from Sheffield Hallam University in Software Engineering and later gained considerable commercial experience as a Strategy Analyst and Methodology Director for several companies. He consolidated this experience by obtaining a Master's degree (with distinction) in Information Systems in Management and a Ph.D. in Information Systems.

Prof. Babak Akhgar has more than 100 referred publications in international journals and conferences on information systems with a specific focus on knowledge management (KM). He is a member of the editorial boards of three international Journals, Chair and program committee member of several international conferences. He has extensive and hands-on experience in the development, management, and execution of KM projects and large international security initiatives (e.g. combating terrorism and organized crime, cyber security, public order, and cross-cultural ideology polarisation). He has co-edited two recent books on intelligence management – Intelligence Management: Knowledge Driven Frameworks for Combating Terrorism and Organised Crime, and Strategic Intelligence Management: National Security Imperatives and Information and Communications Technologies.
